PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 6, 2011 (Thanking God For Who He Is and Praying For Family, Leaders, Ministries, and That Reveal Another Facet of His Glory To Us)

Praise you Lord.   From the rising of the sun .... to the going down of the same .... we will praise your name.   Father you are good.   You are so good to us.    Father we love you.   Father we need you.   Father we trust you and we believe you.   Father thank you.   Thank you for loving us so much that you sent your Son to die for us.    Father help us to die to self for you.....so that  we can live for you.   To die to those things that start in self and lead to selfishness.   Selfish wants and selfish desires.   Those areas where we think and feel that it is all about us.    Father let us see and recognize today that it has nothing to do with us.   It's all about you.   

Father we lift up our family and friends today.   We ask that you move for them today.   Father we don't know every need or every desire ..... but you know all things.    You know what they need financially.....you know the areas in their bodies that need to be healed.....you know the potential that rests inside each and every one of them.   Father we ask that you move for them today.   That you bring them closer to you today.   That you heal them, deliver them, and set them free.   Father cover them with your love.    Keep them in your grace.   Show them more of who you are today.   

Father you said in I Timothy 2 for us to pray for kings and all that are in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life.   So, Father we pray for our legislative bodies today.   We pray that they will seek you.   We pray that they will begin to seek your direction in everything they do and every thing they say.    We pray that as they lead our cities, our states, and our countries Father....that they will begin to seek your leadership in their own lives.    Father we pray that they will be leaders being led by you.    

Father we lift up ministries throughout the world.   We pray that their first love will be you.   Beyond recognition .... beyond seeking out the multitudes ..... Father we pray that they will seek you.    We pray that every ministry that is carrying your name will understand that it is all about you.    That they will recognize and know that while they are seeking being seen by others.....that they will remember that they are first seen by you.   We pray that they will do nothing and say nothing without first seeking your face and getting your approval on their words and their actions.    Let them be ministries that are being led.   Led by your Spirit Father.   Strong and confident based on your word.   

Father thank you for your word today.   We ask that you reveal to us today another facet of your glory.   That you provide for us today.   That you protect us today.   Father you said in Psalm 91 that you have given your angels charge over us to accompany us....to defend us.....to preserve us in all our ways.   Father thank you for your angels today.   Thank you for your love today.   Thank you for your peace today.   Father be who you are.    We put our total trust in you.    In Jesus name we do pray.    Amen.
