PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 5, 2012 (Asking God To Help Us Die To Self .... So That He Can Be Lifted Up)

Good Morning Father.   Father we love you.   We trust you.   Father we need you.   Father help us today.   Help us to be more like you.   To love like you love.   To do as you do.   Father help us to see you today.   To see who you are and what you desire for our lives.    Father today is a day of dying to self.   Father we are tired of walking in self.   In self pity ... in self worth .... in self discipline.    Father instead of self pity today .... we choose to walk in your grace and your mercy.   Instead of self worth today Father .... let us see and recognize our value in you.   Father instead of self discipline today Father ..... let our lives be disciplined by you and your word.     For Father discipline is defined as training to ensure proper behavior.   Father let our lives be trained by you in order to be used for you.    Let our proper behavior be based on what you say is right and not what we say is right in our own eyes.

Father we desire to lay down self.   Help us Daddy.   Help us to lay it all down.   Help us to pick up you.   For you said if you be lifted up .... you will draw all men unto you.   Father let us be lifters today.   Lifters of your word.   Lifters of your will.   Lifters of your praise.   Let the people around us see you today.   Father it's all about you.    

Father we thank you today.   We thank you for loving us so much that you sent your Son to die for us.    Now Father we ask that you help us die to self.    Father help us to die to anything that will cause the attention to be taken off of you and put on us.     Father let our lives reflect and be all about you today.    Let our walk, let our talk, let our time, and let our talents all point back to you.    Father we want them to see you today.....not us Father but you.    

Father we love you, we exalt you, we lift you up and we give you praise.   It is in Jesus most holy name we do pray.   Amen.
