Don’t get lost in your past. In a place where you are constantly wondering and wishing for what was or even in a place where you are always asking yourself and God why. Why certain things had to happen the way they did. We can’t change the past but we can ask God to bring healing and understanding to it and ask Him to help us to move forward with Him.
The past is not always an easy thing to overcome. Whether it be because you have been hurt in your past or whether it be because you feel like you lost something from your past that you want back. No matter what the reason is, we have to understand that God wants us to live in expectation for the hope and the future we have in and with him.
Today I want to pray for you. Today I pray that the people, the places, and the things that have you chained and bound to your past be removed right now. I plead the blood of Jesus over your life and I pray that every yoke of bondage is destroyed. I pray that you are set free in your heart and in your mind. I pray today that you begin to move forward with expectation. Expecting God to do a new thing in your life. Expecting God to bring healing to your life. Expecting God to strengthen you and to bless you like never before. I pray that as you let go of the past that you take hold of God’s unchanging hand. I pray that you learn to trust Him completely. I pray that you cast the care of everything that has held you in captivity on God and I pray that you experience God’s love, comfort, and peace in your life like never before in Jesus name … Amen.
