PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 2, 2017 (Casting Our Cares Upon God and Asking God To Help Us Walk Out His Plan and Purpose For Our Lives)

Father thank You for this new day and New Year in You.   Right now Father we surrender all.  We surrender all the baggage that we have been taking with us throughout 2016.   Father we give it all over to you.   Father it is not our desire to continue to carry a load that You have already told us to cast upon You.   For You said in Your Word to cast our care on You because You care for us.  

Right now Father we ask that You show us what You would have for us to do next.   Father forgive us for where we have tried to do and accomplish things on our own.   Father we need You.   We need Your direction.   We need Your help.   We need Your strength, power, and peace.

Father this is a new year and it is our desire to be more like You.   Father we want to be lights that shine brightly for Your Kingdom.   Help us Lord.   Show us the way that You would have us to go.   Give us the words that You would have us to say.  Father help us to walk out Your plan and purpose for our lives in Jesus name ... amen.
