Yesterday we talked about some
foundational scriptures for prayer.
Today, let’s understand that if we are praying for answers, we MUST pray
the Word. God’s will is embedded in His
word. In other words, His will is
fixed firmly and deeply in His word.
1 John 5:14-15
King James Version (KJV)
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that,
if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we
ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
We have to also understand that God
confirms His word. That is why it is
essential to pray His word and not just pray randomly. Let the scripture be the basis and the
backing of your prayer.
Mark 16:20
King James Version (KJV)
And they went forth, and
preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with
signs following. Amen.
The last thing we need to understand is
that God will move quickly upon His word.
Think about it. God’s word is
already established in the earth because He spoke it first and all you are
doing is confirming that you agree with what He has spoken by speaking it
to. You are lining yourself up in
agreement with God and His word.
Remember … there is power in agreement.
Jeremiah 1:12
King James Version (KJV)
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform
it.
So take time today to meditate on these
scriptures. Knowing and understanding
that God hears you when you pray His word.
Know and understand that He will confirm His word with signs following
His word being spoken. Know that He
will hasten to perform His word. The word
hasten means to be quick to do.
