PRAYER FOCUS - Missing Children

I received a message asking for prayer from a friend who had a friend whose daughter is missing.  We don't tend to think about those areas when we pray.   The missing children.   We pray for those who are right there.   Those who are hungry in other countries.....but we don't focus on children that are missing.   Let's pray today for lost children.   Pray for their protection and safe return home.  

SCRIPTURE REFERENCEJob 34:21For [God's] eyes are upon the ways of a man, and He sees all his steps.

Pray that the shepherds that God has set in place .... minister to the lost children.   Not only those lost spiritually.   But those that are missing.    That God sends someone to help get them back to where they need to be.   Jeremiah 23:4And I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them. And they will fear no more nor be dismayed, neither will any be missing or lost, says the Lord.

PRAYER FOCUS - Our Military Soldiers

We need to pray for protection for those God has placed in position to cover us.   To shield us.   To protect us.    As they stand on guard....we need to be praying that the angels of God's protection surround them and protect them.   That they dwell in the secrete place of God's safety.

PRAYER FOCUS - Children & God's Protection While At Schools and Universities

We send our children out every day and entrust others to impart education and knowledge into them.    Not understanding that they are sheep among wolves.   Those whom God has called you to shepherd and protect are not out in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.   

We need to pray God's divine protection over schools and universities.   That our children are protected and no unforeseen evil can come upon them.   The the educational system be one that edifies and project who God is.    We need to pray for the stability of Christian schools and Universities.   That they will teach God's word with faith and power.

PRAYER FOCUS - Communion (That We As The People Of God Enter Into Communion With Him)

We have to begin to understand what it means to commune with God.   However, we cannot pray what we do not know.   Commune means to be in a state of intimate, heightened, sensitivity, and receptivity.    To communicate intimately.  When you communicate intimately, you are not afraid to share and you stop to listen.   That is where God wants His people.    He wants us free to speak and open to listen.

PRAYER FOCUS - The Economy (The World As We Know It)

Life as we know it will be no more.    We have to begin to pray that people will understand where the economy is now and that it is quickly changing.   We have to understand what God has already said is now coming to pass.    We need to begin to pray for our infrastructure.   The basic structure of the world....the banks, the postal service, medical services, housing market, etc.    Everything that we know....everything that we have known is quickly changing.    We have to pray that the people be prepared.  That they rely not on self but that their total reliance is on God.

PRAYER FOCUS - Freedom In Worship

So many times we are hindered in our worship.   We worry about what others will say or we think that we just can't be that free.   We are confined and conformed.   Confined by self and conformed to what others think.    It's time to be free when we worship God.   Free to praise Him and free to flow in His anointing.

PRAYER FOCUS - "That People Will See & Feel The Love Of God"

The heart of God is that people see who He is.   He wants us to reflect who He is.   God is love.  Let's pray today that people see God through us.   That they see who He is and His compassion for their lives.   That through the knowledge of His love for them that they will be able to move forward in life.   

God's love is our life.   We were created and are sustained in and through His love.    His love generated grace and mercy.   If it were not for the love of God, we would not be here today.

PRAYER FOCUS - The Children

The Bible tells us to raise up the children in the way that they should go and when they are old they won't depart from it.   It tells us to be as a child when we approach God.    This should tell us the heart of God concerning the children.   

The thing is ..... the enemy is attacking the children.   It is His goal to intercept the plan and the purpose that God has placed on their lives before it can manifest.   

Let's pray today for divine protection.   For children that will begin (even now) to manifest the Word of God in their lives.   That will believe Him, that will trust Him, and that will tell the world about Him.

PRAYER FOCUS - "A Resounding Prayer"

So many times we are like noise.   Because our wants and because our desires are so individualized....we pray individually.   God wants us to pray for Him to meet our needs but He also wants us to pray as a unified body.   To pray for the world.   To pray for healing.    To pray that people will receive Christ.  

Let's pray today that "we" as the body of Christ can project a sound.   One sound.....one voice to touch the heart of God.  Not just making noise....but that our prayer be "resounding".   Resounding means unmistakable and emphatic.

PRAYER FOCUS - Boldness & Freedom In The Children Of God

In life we tend to stand boldly for everything except for God.    We shy away when it comes to telling people about who God is and what He has done for us.    We are now in a season where people need to know.   They need to know that God is real and that He loves them.   Time is short and tomorrow is not promised.   Not to us or those around us.    We have to get to a place where we are free from the opinions of man.   Where we are free to tell those around us about the one who lives in us.  

You have to understand that when you speak boldly for the Lord....signs and wonders will follow His word.

PRAYER FOCUS - "For The God Kind Of Faith"

A lot of people say they have faith.   But what do they have faith in?   Do they have faith in their jobs, in their friends, in their family?   God wants us to have faith in Him.   Let's pray today for people all over the world to shift their focus.   To shift from believing in what they can do or what others can do for them.   For their hope and trust to be in God and God alone.    For He never fails.

PRAYER FOCUS - Against The Spirit of Pride

So many times in life we walk in pride.   Proud of what "we" have done.   To "proud" to ask for help.   But what we don't; understand is that pride is a spirit.   We have to understand that it is not God's desire that we be prideful.    He told us in His word over and over again to walk in humility.   

Let's pray today for humility.    That we....that this world....be not prideful and arrogant.    That the humility and love of God overtake us in all that we do and we say.

PRAYER FOCUS - Joy That Produces Strength

The Bible talks about the joy of the Lord being our strength.   As we pray for joy today.....we are  praying for strength.   That our nation be overcome with the joy of the Lord....thereby being strengthened.   That our friends and family be strengthened.   That our lives be strengthened.  

Let's pray that the joy of the Lord consume us to the place of being strong in Him.

PRAYER FOCUS - For Those That Are Lonely....

There are so many hurting and lonely people.   They don't know who to turn to.   They may not have brothers, sisters, friends.    Some do .... but their relationships are not one in which they can turn to them for comfort.   

Let's pray for the lonely today.   Those who feel as though they have no one.   That have lost hope.   That need a friend.    Let's pray that they begin to see God as the one they  need.   That they begin to see Him as comforter and friend.

Let's pray that they feel and experience the love of God like never before AND that God send people after His heart to be friends here on the earth to those in need.

PRAYER FOCUS - Hope for the Hopeless

We have to understand grace.   We have to understand mercy.    We have to understand that it was only by God's grace and mercy that were where we are.    Now that we understand why we are where we are ... we need to understand why God placed us here.   We are to pray.   We are to intercede.   There are many that don't know how to pray for themselves.   That don't know how to get from the place the are to the place that God wants them to be.   That don't know how to hope again or trust again.   That is where we come in.   Where we need to begin to pray and intercede on the behalf of others.

Let's pray for those who don't have hope.   That don't know how to trust.   That they may know God in the fullness of who He is and what He has done.

PRAYER FOCUS - To Go Deeper In The Things Of God

So often we want to stay on the surface.   We want to live on the outskirts.   We are afraid to go into the depths of what God is doing.    However, the season has changed.   The world has changed and God is calling us to come closer.   To move to another place in Him.    It is time to go past the ankle deep waters of God's anointing.   Just enough to get our feet wet.   Just enough to say we are doing something for God.    It's time to move closer to Him.   To get into the flow of the water.   In the flow, you can move when He moves....you ride the wave of the anointing.

PRAYER FOCUS - Financial Breakthrough

God did not create us to struggle.   However, He does want us to "trust".   To trust Him to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory.   To trust Him not only as our source....but as our resource.    He wants to show people around us that watch our lives that if we trust Him....He will always come through.   

As you begin to intercede for your life and on behalf of others....please read Matthew 6:8 and have it engraved on your heart.  Never think that God does not already know.    He knows before you ask!

We have to understand that we are called.    We are called to work together for the common cause of Christ.   To move on one accord as one body.    Not a body divided....but one body fulfilling the vision of God.

PRAYER FOCUS - Expanding Our Reach

When we look at where the world is now....we have to get on board.   Get on board with God's plan, His purpose, and His will for this season.   We have to stop procrastinating about what He has told us and is telling us to do.    The world needs Him.    They need a savior.   They need Jesus.

But how will the world know if we don't say it.   If we don't say it in what we do and how we express God's love.    The world is watching you ..... and they are waiting to see God in you.   

Let's ask God to enlarge our territory today.   To expand our reach for Him.   To help us to be His lights in the world....so that people will know that He is good......not only that He is good....that He is GOD!

PRAYER FOCUS - True Worship

Have you ever seen the reality of what God means when He says that He is seeking those that will worship Him in "spirit" and in "truth"?   I saw it last night.   I saw my 7 year old grandaughter enter into "true worship" for 2 hours (non-stop) last night.   I saw her move in a place of worship that few of us ever get to.   A place where she recognized who she was in God.....that she was created uniquely....for Him.   I saw her give thanks to God for who He is....for what He has done....for what He is doing....for what she has....and for everyone he has placed in her life.   

How many people never get to that place in life, in praise, in prayer?  The place of recognizing and exmplifying God for who He is and what He has done.   

Let's pray today that people all over the world will begin to worship God in "spirit" and in "truth".

PRAYER FOCUS - Trust

Do you really trust Him?   You say you do....but do you really?   Let's pray together for "trust".   That we as God's people will know Him and what He has done.   That we as His people will trust Him to be who He is.    Trust and commitment are gained through knowledge.   So let's pray that people will get to know Him.   In getting to know Him ...the will grow to "trust" Him.

PRAYER FOCUS - Salvation & Hope For Our Loved Ones

There are many lost and hurting people in the world.    A lot of which are directly connected to us.   We walk in the Word....trust and follow God.....yet they are still lost.   They are still hurting.   They are still trying to figure out which direction to go.   It's time we pray.   It's time we ask God to help them as He has helped us.

PRAYER FOCUS - Peace

With everything that is going on in life we are constantly worrying and trying to figure out which direction to take and how to get things done.   We have to get to a point where we just rest in the knowledge that we have.   The knowledge of knowing that God will provide.    Let's pray today that God will give His people rest.  That they will walk in perfect peace.   The peace beyond their understanding.

PRAYER FOCUS - For People To Trust God and That The "Bonds" Of Wickedness Be Broken

One of the hardest things to do sometimes is to hand over the reigns of our life.   To truly trust what God has said and know that He will do it.    It eliminates control and allows God to have control.    Let's pray today that people will learn how to trust Him.   That they will let go and and truly let God.    As the world begins to trust Him for who He is.....satan loses his grip.    We need to pray that the bonds (restraints used to hold) of wicknedness be broken off the lives of people all around us

It certaintly doesn't feel good when you are in the "pressure cooker" of life. But if you just STAND and HOLD onto GOD's Unchanging HAND(no matter how long it takes), HE WILL WORK IT OUT!!!  I am not much of a talker but God has been so GOOD to me that I can't keep it to myself. My latter days are much better than the former ones. Today is my birthday and it is the best one that I have ever had. I have been BLESSED with Family and Awesome Friends. I received at least eight phone calls today!!! (one was five minutes ago as I was writing this). My best friend from elementary and high school called. Two close friends from college called. My close friends that I met after college called. Another close friend took me out to lunch and a movie. My family blessed me the weekend. I received cards, notes and gifts in the mail. Those were icing on the cake. A card/phone call meant the world to me...just knowing that someone was thinking about me and I had/was making a difference in their lives (I didn't even know that I had made a difference in their lives). My friends don't know how much they have made a difference in my life and how BLESSED I am to have them as my friends!!! The funny thing about this is we may not talk to each other on the phone for a couple of months, a year or two, but we just pick back up where we left off. Most importantly, we keep each other and our families lifted up in prayer. I am so thankful to GOD for putting these people in my life. I am a better person because of them. Today has been surreal to me and I am still basking in God's Glory. Thank you GOD for all that you have done for me. Let me be the woman that you have designed me to be!!!

PRAYER FOCUS - Healing

Healing is both physical and spiritual.   Some people need to be healed in their physical bodies.   Some need spiritual healing to take place.     Let's pray today that people receive the healing that they need.    That through the word of God ..... change takes place.   That bodies are transformed and lives are changed.

PRAYER FOCUS - Family & Marriages

God is all about family.   Family and marriage is relative to who He is.   He is a loving father.   He is a comforter.   He is the one you can call on .... when no one else is around.    That's the example of what God wants the family entity to look and be like.    He wants families .... husbands & wives .... to support one another.   To care for one another.   To love one another ...... no matter what.    Love is not meant to be given one moment and taken away another.    Love stands.   Through it all ..... it stands.   Love stands because God is love and He can not fail nor fall.  

Please pray love over families.   That households be filled with God's love.

⁴Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
    ⁵It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
    ⁶It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
    ⁷Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
    ⁸Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. 

PRAYER FOCUS - The Body Of Christ

We need to pray daily for the Body of Christ.   That we are one.   That we walk in unity.....following the plans and purposes of God and God alone.   That we are working together as one body in order to accomplish the things that God has told us to do on the earth.

If the hand is trying to do one thing and the feet are walking in a different direction....the body is divided.   The effort is great.   The effort is in the reach.....we are trying hard to reach something that is a great distance away.    The body needs to flow together in order to be effective in the earth.

²¹That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.
    ²²I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:
    ²³I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

PRAYER FOCUS - Kings & All That Are In Authority.....

The Bible tells us in 1st Timothy to pray for kings and all who are in authority.   There are leaders all over this world without direction.    Without hope.   How can they lead if they don't have hope?   Without hope, there is no expectation.

Let's take time today to pray for our president and his cabinet.   Pray for our senators, the house of representatives, mayors, city counsel members, presidents of corporations, pastors, parents, etc.    Take the time to pray for any and all people who have roles of authority......remember.....where they lead, people will follow.     

1 Timothy 2
 ¹FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men,
    ²For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.
    ³For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,
    ⁴Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth.
