PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 20, 2018 (Asking God To Help Us In Our Homes, Churches, Jobs, and Communities)

Father thank You for this new day in You.  Thank You for leading us, guiding us, and for making a way for us.   Father we know that You see it all.   You see everything that we are going through right now in life.   Help us Father.   Help us to heal from the hurt of our past.   Help us to trust You when our faith is weak.   Help us as only You can.

Father we surrender all to You right now.   We surrender our hurt, our pain, and our disappointment.   Father we surrender our fears.   Father we surrender our needs and our desires to You.   We ask that You help us now.   Father we need for You to do what only You can in and through our lives.

Father we ask that You strengthen us now.   We pray that You open up doors for us now.   Father we ask that You bring increase into our lives now so that we can be a blessing to others.    Father help us in our homes, in our churches, on our jobs, in our communities, and throughout this world.   Help us to fulfill Your plan for our lives in Jesus name ... Amen.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 Peter 5:6-10
King James Version (KJV)
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
