PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 29, 2015 (Understanding What It Means To Pray In Faith)

Not only do we need to understand the importance of prayer, we need to understand the importance of praying in faith.    Jesus talked about believers having the “The Faith of God”.    Faith is an allegiance to a duty or a person.    So understand, we can have faith in many things or many people.   However, we need to have “the faith of God”.       In order to have the faith of God, we must first realize that God has given each of us a measure of faith.   Romans 12:3 says, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (KJV).   So don’t live your life thinking that you need more faith.   When God does a thing, He does it completely.   We as human beings sometimes half-step, but that is not one of God’s characteristics.   He is faithful.   He has empowered us fully and completely.   

“Father help us to pray each day knowing that You have empowered us.   Knowing that You are the answer.   Father help us to realize that our hope and our expectation in prayer needs to always remain in You.   Father You are God.   We thank You for this new day to worship You and to praise You.  We thank You for this divine opportunity to seek You and to live for You.    Father today we surrender everything to You.  Every worry, every doubt, and every trial that is coming against our lives.  We give it all to You.  We focus on You.  Our faith is in You.    We ask that You bring about a supernatural change.   We ask that You honor our faith in You and Your Word.    We love You Lord and we give You all the praise, honor, and glory in Jesus name, amen. “

PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 23, 2015 (Thanking God For Making Our Crooked Places Straight and For Being Our Rearguard)

Father there are days when our walk with you is so sweet.   Where we hear you clearly and we see Your hand moving in our lives.   Then Father there are days where we don’t know what to do.   Where we have turmoil on every side.   Father although we know that You are there, we feel pulled and pressed on every side.   Father today we ask that You help us though those days.   Father we thank You for the standard of Your Word that You have raised up against the floods that the enemy is continuously trying to bring to our lives.    Father You are so faithful.

Now Father we ask that You go before us and make every crooked place straight.   Father we thank You for being our rearguard.   For protecting us so that the enemy cannot sneak up on us and overtake us.  Father You are faithful.   We love You and we exalt You.   Father we praise You and say thank You for all that You have done and are doing in our lives in Jesus name.  Amen

PRAYER FOR TODAY - January 22, 2015 (Asking Go To Let Our Lives Be A Reflection of His Love. Understanding There Are No Substitutes For Him)

Father You are worthy.   You are worthy of all the honor, glory, and praise.  Father right now we lift You up.  We praise You.  We magnify You.  Father we exalt You.   You alone are God.   You are Jehovah.    Father we thank You.  We thank You for all that You have done.  We thank You for all that You are about to do.    We know that You see it all.   You see every hurt, every pain, and every need in our lives.  Today we ask that You show Yourself as Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.   Father there are no substitutes for You.  There is nothing that we can do or have that compares to You.   So right now we pray for Your strength.  We pray for Your wisdom.  We pray for Your direction.   Father we pray that You move in our hearts, minds, and lives like never before.   Father we surrender and we vow to seek You in every area of our lives.   We vow to seek You for every need in our lives.   Forgive us for where we sought things outside of Your Word and Your will.  Strengthen us to do what is right and what is pleasing in Your sight.  Bless us Father.   Keep us Father.   Use us Father.   Father let our lives be a reflection of Your love at all times in Jesus name.  Amen
