PRAYER FOR TODAY - October 21, 2016 (Laying Down Those Things That Hinder Us, Deter Us, and Keep Us From Trusting God)

Father what seems hard for us is easy for You.   For truly Father there is nothing that is too hard for You.  Father we know that You see all and You know all things.   You know what we need, when we need it.   Father You know our beginning and our end.   Father right now we ask that You help us to know, see, and understand this road called life.    So often we encounter situations we don't understand and we come to You now asking that You help us.   Help us to walk in Your peace and in Your understanding.

Father we surrender all.   We lay down and we let go of all the things that have been hindering our walk with You.   Father we want to walk freely with You.  We want to be free from the distractions that deter us.  For to deter means to discourage us from doing something based on doubt or fear.   Father You have told us to fear not.   You have told us to trust and to believe You.   So right now we bind up and cast down all doubt and all fear.  For You said in Your Word that whatsoever we bind on earth is bound in heaven.   Father we release peace, love, joy, and faith.   For again You said that whatsoever we release in heaven is released in earth.    Father we want Your Word to be the final authority in every situation concerning our lives.   Help us Father.   Heal us, strengthen us, and provide for us as only You can.   Father our hope and our trust are in You.   It is in Jesus name that we do pray.   Amen

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

² Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
