PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 20, 2015 (Understanding What It Means To Commune With God and Letting God and Surrendering Every Care, Worry, and Doubt)

Prayer should not be occasional.   The Bible says in Luke 18:1 that mean “ought to” always pray.  There are many things in life that we do, but the Bible says that prayer is something we ought to do.   You have to begin to pray on purpose with a purpose.     Understand the primary purpose in prayer should always be to commune with God.   To commune means to talk over and to discuss.    Although God knows everything that is going on in your life, He still wants you to talk it over with Him so that He can bring understanding to your life and be your source of help.   Communing with God says that you trust Him with every aspect in your life.   When you come to Him in prayer it says that you trust Him to take care of the people you are praying for, the job that you are looking for, the sickness that is coming against your body, the finances that you need.   It says that you surrender all to Him and it shows Him that you believe in His power and ability to take care of it all.

Luke 18:1King James Version (KJV)18 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

“Father we come to You now, thanking You and praising You for who You are.  For You are our source of life.   You are our all and all.  Everything that we could ever need in life is found in You.   Father today we surrender all.  We surrender our cares, worries, and doubts.  We surrender our lives.   For we realize that it is only in You that we live, breathe, and have our being.  We understand that only You can deliver us in our time of need.   Father we come to You laying everything and everyone at Your feet and we ask that You move in and through our lives and theirs as only You can.    Father our hope and our trust are both in You.  We believe that You Father will work out everything that concerns us in life.   So we let go today and we surrender it all to You in Jesus name … Amen”

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 16, 2015 (Believing We Receive When We Pray)

Are you believing that you receive “when” you pray or you are you praying with a “maybe He will or maybe He won’t” attitude? When you believe, you have faith and trust that something is going to happen or be done.   When you have a maybe He will or may He won’t attitude, you have already injected doubt in your prayer.   It’s time to take a stance when you pray.  When you take a stance, you position yourself securely and your attitude lines up with what you believe.   So as you pray, you need to position yourself in faith and believe that your prayer will be answered because you are praying according to God’s Word and you have faith and belief in the Word that you are praying.

“Father thank You for Your Word.   For Your Word says in Mark 9:23, that nothing is impossible for those who will believe You.    Father our expectancy is in You.   Our hope and our trust is in You.    Father although we can’t see the answer right now, we believe that we receive your answer to our situation.  Father You are faithful.   You are not a man that You should lie nor the son of man that you shall repent.   What you have said is true and we believe the truth of Your Word.   We believe that You see everything that we have need of in our lives and that You are working it all together for our good.   Father we come to You asking You to meet every need, to heal our bodies, to give us peace in the midst of the storms of life.   We  ask that You strengthen us where we are weak and that You make a way where there seems to be no way.   Father we ask that You watch over, shield, and protect us, our family and friends.   Father we pray for this world.  We pray that they come into the knowledge of who You are and have and understanding of what You have done for us.  Father we pray that people all over this world will surrender their lives to You in Jesus name.  Amen”

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 14, 2015 (Asking God To Forgive Us For The Times Where We Have Sought After People, Places, and Things and To Help Us See Who He Is and Has Been In Our Lives)

When you look back over your life, what have you been seeking?   We tend to seek people, places, and things.    The right person to make us feel complete, places where we feel comfortable, and things that we feel will enhance our lives.    But we have to understand, only God can make us complete.   He sent His Holy Spirit to be our Comforter.   When we look at the word enhance, it means to improve in quality and to strengthen.   God is the source of our strength for He has said that in our weakness, He is strong.

“Father help us to see who You are in our lives.   Not only who You are but who and what You have been and what You have promised to be to us, in us, and through us.   Father forgive us  for the times where we have failed to follow You fully.   Forgive us for the times where we have sought after other things.   Father we know that it is only in You that we can ever be fulfilled.   It is only in You that we have our being.   Father You said that if we seek You, we shall find You.   Father we no longer want to be distracted by those things in life that are temporary.   Those things that we have sought temporary pleasure in.   Father it is our desire to seek after You, for You Father are eternal.   You are the only one that can make us totally complete.   Thank You for loving us.  Thank You for providing for us.   Thank You for empowering us.   Thank You for never leaving nor forsaking us.   Father we love You and we exalt You in Jesus name … Amen.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 13, 2015 (Remaining Hopeful and Asking God for Strength and Intervention)

What happens when it is not all going your way?   Are you asking God for strength?   Are you asking God to intervene?   Or are you losing hope, giving up, and speaking words of negativity into your situation?    You have to remain hopeful.   You have to continue to stand on God’s Word.   You have to trust and believe that God knows what is best for you and even if it doesn’t work the way you want it to or expect it to, you have to know that God is working it all together for your good.

Thank You Father for Your Word.  Thank You for Your Word works.   Father help us to always remain conscious of the fact that You are God and You know what is best for us.   Father help us to always stand strong in You.   Strong in Your Word, Your will, and your way.   Father when things come up against our lives, help us to remain conscious of the fact that You are in control and You have our lives in Your hands.   Thank You Father.  Thank You for Your faithfulness, strength, peace, power, and direction in Jesus name … amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 12, 2015 (Asking God To Help Us Move Forward In Him)

It’s time to stop procrastinating.   To procrastinate means to delay or postpone doing things.   We have to stop putting off what God has told us to do.   It’s time to move forward in faith in and with God.    We have to understand that God’s plan is already set in place and as we walk in delayed obedience, we also cause our blessings to be delayed.   It’s time move forward in and with God.

“Father help us today.   Help us to move forward in and with You.   Help us to let go of whatever it is that is causing us to be stagnant.   Help us to release the spirit of pride and contentment.   Father help us to no longer be comfortable with any compromise in our lives.   Father we are ready.  We are ready to walk fully in Your plan and Your purpose for our lives.    Father we pray for Your divine strength to go to the next level in and with You.   Father we pray for Your divine direction and supernatural peace.  Father You are God alone and we worship You.  We praise You Father and we declare and decree that this moment in time is where we let go of the hindrances and stop procrastinating.   We choose Father to follow You fully and completely.   We choose to walk in obedience so that we can move forward in and with You in Jesus name … Amen.”

Life is not always easy.  There are times when the unexpected happens.  Times where you don't know what to do and even if you do know what to do, there are times when you don't know how to move forward and get it done.   But understand, God is with you at all times.   He is with you during the good times and the bad times and He will help you at all times.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 2, 2015 (Reflecting On What God Has Done and Saying Thank You)

Sometimes you have to sit and reflect on what God has done.   You have to take it personal.  You may have to say thank You Lord for what You did for "me".    It's easy to see what God is doing in the lives of others, but you have to also recognize what God has done and is doing in your life.

"Father thank You for Your steadfast love.   For Your love never changes.  Father we see where we were and we see where we are now.  Father we see how You have moved in our lives and we want to say thank You.  Thank You for loving us.  Thank Your for moving on our behalf.   Thank You for shielding and protecting us.  Father we love You and we exalt You.  We praise and we adore You.   There is no one and no "thing" that compares to You.   Father You are worthy of our praise and we lift You up right now and say thank You in Jesus name ... Amen."

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 10th, 2024 (Asking God To Make His Move Now and To Show Our Enemies That They Are NOT In Control)

Father, we know that You see and know all things.   We know that You know what we are going through at every given moment of our lives.   So...
