Father we love you.  We exalt you.  We trust you.   Father we believe you.   We believe in your word.   Right now Father we ask that you take us to a place of peace in you.  A place where worry ceases and joy overwhelms.   A place of truth and a place of trust.    A place where the change is noticeable.   Father thank you for your love.   Thank you for your protection.   Thank you for your strength.    Father there is none like you.   No one compares to you.    To your strength and to your power.    Father you are so good to us.   We love you Father and we just want to say thank you.    In Jesus name.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 29, 2013 (Praying Our Way Through It All)

Are you willing to pray your way "through"?   Through the heartache.  Through the pain.  Through the sickness.  Through the disease.   Through the disappointment.   Through the struggle.   You have to understand you are going "through".   You are not stuck.   The path you are on just has some debris.   Move the debris by praying and make sure you begin to pray for clear direction.

Father thank you for your word.   Thank you that your word works.   Today we just want to say thank you for never leaving us or forsaking us.   Thank you for being with us through our good times and our bad.  Thank you for helping us to see.   To see you and to seek you no matter what situation we are in.   Father thank you for making a way where there appears to be no way.   Father you are God.  We trust you.  We believe you.  We want you.   We want you to be our God and our guide.    Help us to see you more clearly and to follow you more completely.    Father help us to be good representatives of your word.   In Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 27, 2013 (Asking God To Forgive Us For Our Wrongs and To Help Us Walk Out His Plan Totally and Completely)

Are you looking at yourself the way God sees you or the way man says you are?  Remember God is your judge.   He is your comforter and keeper.   He is your shield and your protection.    All that you are ... you are in God.   All that He has done ... He did for you.    Stop allowing others to judge you.    Recognize your strengths and your weaknesses and come to God and ask Him to strengthen you.   To help you.   To move in you and to move for you.    Learn how to repent and obey.    When you repent ... you ask God for His forgiveness.  When you obey ... you follow His instruction.    So step into the grace of God today and allow His mercy to encompass you.   Allow His love to overwhelm  you.   Allow His peace to rest in you.     Then repent and obey.

Father today we come to you with all of our issues and our inadequacies.   Father we come to you asking you for forgiveness and help.   Forgive us for our wrongs.   Where we handled the situations wrong and said the wrong thing.   Father forgive us for misleading and misguiding others.   Forgive us for not trusting you totally and completely.   Forgive us Father.    Now Father we ask that you help us.   Help us to do things your way.   To follow your lead and your instruction.   Help us to walk out your plan totally and completely.   Father we know that we can't do it without you.   Lead us now.  Cover us now.   Help us now.   In Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 25, 2013 (Taking Time To Just Tell God Thank You)

So often we get caught up in the stuff that all we tend to pray is help me Lord.   But lets take time today to say thank you Lord.    Thank you for all that you have done.   For watching over us.   For leading us.  For guiding us.   For healing us.  For providing for us   For delivering us.    Take time to say thank you.

THANK YOU.   In Jesus name.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 24, 2013 (Binding Up and Casting Down Every Negative Word That Has Been and Is Being Spoken In Your Life)

Father today we take authority.   We take authority over every demonic attack of the enemy.  Where the enemy is trying to come in and speak lies and negativity into the lives of your people, we take authority.   Father we bind up every negative word spoken.   For your word says that whatever be bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.    So as we bind up the negative Father, we speak forth your word and loose your angels and ministering spirits to be at work in our lives.    Father thank you for the truth of your word.   Thank you for the power of your word.   Thank you for ordaining our lives and the promises for our lives.   For Lord you have preordained our footsteps and you have already spoken your word.   Father thank you that your word must come to pass in each of our lives.    Where the enemy has spoken negative we declare failure to his words.   Every negative seed and every negative word is uprooted, bound up, cast down, and canceled against each of your servants represented here.

Father thank you for your truth and thank you that your truth never fails.    For you are God alone.   In Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TOAY - August 22, 2013 (Are You Allowing The Attacks Against Your Faith To Move You To A Place Of Fear? Praying That Your Faith Be Strengthened.)

Everything that the enemy brings against your life is an attack to get you out of faith.   Every test.  Every trial.   Every loss.   Every struggle.   Every unpaid bill.   Every sickness and every disease.   It is all in an effort to move you from faith to fear.   Question is ... is it working?   Are you being moved?   Is your faith being removed and replaced with fear?   Today I want to pray that you be strengthened in your faith walk.   That no matter what comes you still stand strong.   That your confession be ... yet will I trust you God.

Father thank you.  Thank you for these your people.  For selecting each of them to be your servants here in the earth.   Father they are all in the process of life.   I come to you now asking that you help them.   That you strengthen them.   That you show them that you are God.    Father help them see that it is the vehicle of faith that will carry them through.   It is their trust and their belief in you that will see them through.  Father strengthen them now.   In the areas where they have been weak ... strengthen them Father.   Highlight your word in their lives.   Send it forth in whatever ways necessary so that they can see, hear, and understand your plan more clearly.   Father I pray that they feed their faith with the fruit of your word.   That they be strong in you and your word.    That the peace of your word overtake them now in Jesus name.    Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 21, 2013 (Understanding That We Will Not Always Get An Automatic Response and Asking God To Let Us See, Recognize and Feel His Presence Like Never Before)

Everything is not always going to be easy.   Everything is not always going to work the way you want it to work.   You are not always going to get an automatic response.   You have to learn to wait, to trust, and to believe.    You have to learn to surrender and to let God have complete and total control of your life.

Father thank you for your word.   Thank you for showing us, teaching us, and keeping us.   Thank you for showing us how to live holy and right.   For teaching us your way and for keeping us along the way.    You are faithful Father.   We love you.  We exalt you.  We worship and we praise you.   Now Father we ask that you move in us and through us.   For your word says that you know the things we have need of and that you are faithful and just to provide us with those things.    Father we know that you know and we ask that you move on our behalf.    Work it all together.  Work it all out.   Let us see, recognize and feel your presence like never before.    Let  your glory be unveiled in our lives.   Our trust is completely and totally in you and your word.   In Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 20, 2013 (Making Sure Praise Is A Part Of Our Prayer and Asking God To Empower Us To Make A Difference Today)

Are you making praise a part of your prayer?  Are you  praising God for what He has done and not just asking Him for what you want Him to do?   We have to get to a place where we are thankful.  Thankful for God's love, His grace, and His mercy.   So often we get caught up asking God for help that we fail to give Him thanks.   Make sure you are making praise a part of your prayer.

Father thank you.  Thank you for what you have done.   Thank you for waking us up.    For meeting the needs.   For keeping us and for sustaining us.   Thank you for being there.   For wrapping your loving arms around us when we didn't know what else to do.   Thank you for confirming your word in our lives.   For showing us that you will never leave us nor forsake us.   Father thank you for all you have done and are doing in our lives.   We love you Lord.   We trust you Lord.   We believe you.   We exalt you.   We trust you.    Now Father we ask that you go before us today.   That you make every crooked place straight.  That you empower us to make a difference today.   Not just in our lives ... but let us make a difference in the lives of others today.   Father it's not about us.   It's not about what we can do or how we can get it done.   It's all about glorifying you in all that we do.   Help us to reflect your glory in our lives.  Do it now Father in Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 19, 2013 (Asking God To Help Us Fully Understand How To Commune With Him)

Sometimes it is hard to pray.   Hard to articulate the right words that you feel you should say.   But we have to get to the point where we understand that prayer is communion with God.   When you commune with someone ... you spend time with them.   Sometimes you don't say a word when you commune with them.   Sometimes they do all the talking.   Sometimes you just cry out and let the other person wrap their arms around you to comfort you.    Think about the word community.   It comes from the word commune.   When you commune with someone ... you dwell with them.    You become sensitive and aware of their presence.   You are comfortable with them to the point that your communication with them is an intimate exchange.

Father today we come to you asking that you help us to stay in a place of communion with you.  Father help us to understand it is not all about what we say.   Sometimes it is just about spending time with you.   Letting everything else go so that we can get in a place where we are community totally and completely with you.   Father help us to understand the importance of prayer.   The importance of not just telling you what we need but the importance of waiting on you for direction.   We love you Lord.  We commit totally and completely to you.   Help us to fully know and understand how to commune with you.   In Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER TALK - August 14, 2013 (Are You Mentally Awake In Prayer?)

Do you believe in the power of prayer?   So often we pray ... but the question is ... do you truly believe that God is going to answer your prayers?     There are elements called faith, belief, and trust that we have to incorporate in our prayers.    If we don't have faith that God will answer us ... why should He.   Our lack of faith tells God that I really don't believe you are who you said you are.   It sends the message that we really don't believe He can do what He said He would do.   It injects doubt in our situation, which immediately compromises our prayer position.

When an element is compromised, it weakens in quality and value.   We have to stop weakening our prayer by compromising it with doubt.     This also tells us why it is so important that we pray God's word.   Remember, faith comes by hearing God's word.   So if you are praying God's word, it strengthens your faith.

Romans 10:17
King James Version (KJV)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
As you pray, you have to also understand the importance of being "mentally awake".   How can you effectively go into combat and fight the forces of darkness if you are not aware of his strategies and his tricks.    You have to let the enemy know that he does not have an advantage over you.   You do that by standing in faith without compromise and by being metally alert while you are in prayer.

Matthew 26:41
King James Version (KJV)
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 14:38
King James Version (KJV)
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 13, 2013 (Asking God To Work In Us and Through Us)

Father thank you for a brand new day in you.  A day to see you and to seek you.   A day to worship you and to trust you.  A day to believe you and a day to follow you.    Father today we ask that you go before us and show us the way you would have us to go.   Father show us your will.  Show us your way.  Show us what it is you would have us to do and who it is you would have us to speak to.   Father infiltrate our lives.    Let our words be words that tell of your goodness, your grace, your love and your mercy.    Let them be words that flow from your heart to the lives of your people.     Father work in us and work through us ... right now in Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER TALK – August 13, 2013 (Praising God For His Name)

Yesterday we talked about starting our prayer out with praise.   I wanted to talk a little bit more about prayer and praise.    Some of the reasons why we should be praising Him include His name, His righteousness, His Word, and for who He is.     But let’s talk about His name.

We need to praise God for not only the name of Jesus but also for His name.   When you truly begin to look at His name and the power that comes with His name … you will begin to truly understand who He is and what His word says about His name.     Proverbs 18:10 talks about the name of God being a strong tower.    It says that the righteous run into the name and they are safe.

Proverbs 18:10
King James Version (KJV)
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe

It is time we understand the power that comes not only with the name of Jesus but the power and the “presence” that is in the names of God.

Meditate On These Biblical Names Of God

Jehovah Jireh – The Lord God Our Provider

Jehovah Shalom – The Lord God Our Peace

Jehovah Rapha – The Lord God Our Healer

Jehovah Nissi – The Lord God Our Banner

Jehovah Elyon – The Lord God Most High

Jehovah Shammah – The Lord God Who Is There

Jehovah Baal-Perazim – The Lord God Of The Breakthrough

El Emet – The God of Truth

El Shaddai – God Almighty

Jehovah ‘Ez-Lami – The Lord God My Strength

Jehovah Machsi – The Lord God My Refuge

Take time to go to the “Photo” section on the Facebook page.    Click on The “Album – Taking A Look At Who God Is”.    There you will find breakdowns of many of the names with scripture references.    Take time to meditate and understand the power that comes in the name of Jesus and the names of God.

PRAYER TALK – August 12, 2013 (Starting Off Prayer With Praise)

How are you starting your prayer?   Are you starting your prayer with requests or are you starting it with praise to God?   We need to make sure we are starting all of our prayer with praise to God.    To praise means to glorify or extol.    It means to express approval or admiration.

When you take a look at the Lord’s Prayer that Jesus taught the disciples, the first line of the prayer praises God.    It hallows the name of the Lord.    The word hallow means to honor as holy.   It means to sanctify and to consecrate.    When something is consecrated, it is set apart.

Matthew 6:9

King James Version (KJV)
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Luke 11:2

King James Version (KJV)

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

You have to understand, when you offer praise … you are glorifying God.

Psalm 50:23

King James Version (KJV)

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

In order to truly praise God, you have to know why you are praising Him.    You need to understand the importance of praise and you need to be willing to vocalize it.

Hebrews 13:15-16

King James Version (KJV)

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.  But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Psalm 100:4-5

King James Version (KJV)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

There are many reasons to praise God, so just begin to Praise Him for all that HE is, for His righteousness, for His word, and so much more.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 11, 2013 (Asking God To Come In and Lead, Guide, and Direct Our Lives)

Are you letting God be your guide or are you trying to self direct?   We have to get to a place where we are letting God lead us into all truth.   Where we are seeking Him totally and completely for direction.   Where our trust and our faith are completely and totally in Him and His word.

Father thank you for your word.  Thank you for the power of your word.   Today Father we surrender it all.   Every thought, every idea, every impression.   We give it all to you.   Today we invite you in.   Into our lives, into our situations, and into our thoughts.   Help us Lord.   Help us to see and know that you are God.   Help us to walk out your plan of deliverance.   Your plan of wisdom.   Your plan of power.   Your plan of peace.   Father we can't do it with out you.   We invite you in today.   We ask you to move and to manifest.   To lead, guide, and direct us in all that we do.   In Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER TALK – August 11, 2013 (Things We Must Know and Understand In Order To Get Our Prayers Answered)

We talked the other day about different types of prayer.   We talked about the Prayer of Agreement, the Prayer of Faith Petition, and the Prayer of Intercession.   There is also the Prayer of Praise & Worship, the Prayer of Consecration & Dedication, and the Prayer of Thanksgiving.    We will talk more about those in the days to come.

Today let’s stop about some things we “must” know and understand in order to get our prayers answered.

1.       We need to know first of all that God wants to answer our prayers.    So often we pray in hope that God will answer.   We have to “know” that it is His desire to answer our prayers that are in line with His word.

2.       Which leads me to the second thing we must understand.   Our prayer must line up with God’s word.    We need to begin to find scriptures that coincide with our request to God.

3.       Next, we must remember to ask the Father, in Jesus’ name and believe at the point of the request that you receive the answer.    Again, not just hoping for an answer, but believing you receive the answer.     It is at this very point that your faith fight begins.    Because it is at this point that you have to override what you see with what you believe.

4.       In order for you to believe what you are praying for, you must take control of your thoughts.    Your thought life must stay in line with what you believe.

5.       Next, you must avoid “confrontation” with people who are not in agreement with you.   When someone is not in agreement with you, they tend to attack your faith instead of undergirding it.

6.       Next you have to understand … how you think, plays a part in what you believe.    You must begin to think and see yourself with the promises of God and you have to constantly think on God’s goodness, grace, love, and mercy.

7.       You must walk in expectancy.   You have to expect God to answer your prayers that are in line with His word.

8.       Last … YOU MUST WALK STEADFAST IN YOUR FAITH.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 10, 2013 (Understanding That Prayer Is Essential ... Asking God To Help Us To Stand Still and To Know That He Is Our Father, Our Creator, and Our King)

PRAYER IS ESSENTIAL ... When something is essential, it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.   So understand today ... prayer is absolutely necessary.    One definition for the word necessary is "required to be done".    The question is ... are you doing what is required.   Are you communing with God.   Not just telling Him what you want and leaving His presence.   But going to Him.   Talking to Him and waiting on Him to tell you what to do.    We have to get to a point of not only seeking Him ... but we have to also wait on Him to tell us what He wants us to do.

Father help us to wait on you.   Father we get so busy and we want to do things so quick that sometimes we forget to stand still and wait.   Today we ask for your help in the waiting.    Help us to trust you more.   To know you more.   To live for you more.   Father help us to just stand still and to know that you are our Father, our Creator, and our King.   Help us now Father ... in Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 8, 2013 (Asking God To Be Our Healer, Provider, and Peace)

Father thank you for a new day in you.   A new day to hear your voice and to obey your word and your will.   Father help us today to complete every assignment that "YOU" give us.   Father help us to stay focused on you.   Father you are God.   You are the Author and the Finisher of our faith.   Father we need you.   We love you.  We expect you.   We exalt you.    Father there is none like you.   No one compares to you.

Father your word declares you are our Healer, Provider and Peace.   Father we need all those things operative in our lives.   So Father manifest your healing.   Meet every need and give us the peace that goes beyond our understanding.   Do it now Father in Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER TALK - August 8, 2013 (Understanding That Prayer Is A Connecting Force)

As we move forward in our prayer talk, we understand that:
  • God hears us when we pray His word.
  • God confirms His word with signs following His “spoken” word.
  • God hastens to perform His word.
We also talked yesterday about:
  • Prayer is learned through knowledge and/or experience.
  • The importance of going to the Father in the name of Jesus.
  • God wants us confident in praying His word and His will.
So as we talk today, let’s talk a little bit more about whether or not God expects us as believers to pray.    Take a moment to think about what Jesus said to the disciples in Mark Chapter 11.    He told them to have faith in God.   He also said that whatever things they desire … “when they pray” … believe that they would receive them and they would have them.     So understand we can have faith for things.   We can desire things.   We can believe for things.   But He connected it all with “when you pray”.    So understand the importance of prayer.      Not to mention in Luke 18:1, He was very direct and said that men are to always pray.

 Mark 11:22-24King James Version (KJV)
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Luke 18:1
King James Version (KJV)
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

So take time to meditate on these scriptures today, understanding the connecting force between your faith, desire, and belief is prayer.   Understand that God wants us to always pray and not get faint.   To faint means to lose consciousness.   When you are conscious, you are aware of and responding to your surroundings.   Understand … God always wants you to be aware of your surroundings and He wants you to respond to your surroundings through prayer.    Amen.

PRAYER TALK (Learning How To Pray) - August 7, 2013

We must take time to learn how to pray.    Notice the disciples asked Jesus to “teach” them how to pray as John taught His disciples.
Luke 11:1
King James Version (KJV)
And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

We can learn how to pray through knowledge or we can learn through experience.    If we are learning through knowledge, we have to understand that our knowledge must come from the “Word of God”.   If we are to pray from experience, that means we must take “time” praying and we must “practice prayer” in our own personal lives.

We have to understand that God expects us as believers to pray.    We have to realize that prayer is a part of what God tells us when He tells to put on His armor.
Ephesians 6:18
King James Version (KJV)
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Jesus said that whatever we ask the Father in His name … God will give it to us.   We are to go to the Father in the name of Jesus.   Understanding that the Father established a principle concerning the name of Jesus.    He said every knee shall bow of “things” in heaven and “things” in earth.   So that includes “everything” in your life.    Every situation and every circumstance has to bow at the name.
John 16:23King James Version (KJV)
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Philippians 2:9-10King James Version (KJV)
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
There is also a confidence we must have in God.    We have to pray God’s word and God’s will.   For if we pray His word and His will … the Bible says that He hears us and  if we know He hears us, we can be confident that He will honor our petitions.

1 John 5:14-15King James Version (KJV)
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Take time today to meditate on God’s word.   Understanding that prayer is learned through knowledge and experience.   Also understand the power in the name of Jesus and the importance of going to the Father in the name.    Lastly, remember God wants you confident and that confidence is based on praying God’s word and His will.   Amen.

PRAYER TALK – August 6, 2013 (Knowing That God's Will Is Embedded In His Word)

Yesterday we talked about some foundational scriptures for prayer.   Today, let’s understand that if we are praying for answers, we MUST pray the Word.   God’s will is embedded in His word.    In other words, His will is fixed firmly and deeply in His word.

1 John 5:14-15
King James Version (KJV)
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

We have to also understand that God confirms His word.   That is why it is essential to pray His word and not just pray randomly.    Let the scripture be the basis and the backing of your prayer.

Mark 16:20
King James Version (KJV)
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

The last thing we need to understand is that God will move quickly upon His word.    Think about it.   God’s word is already established in the earth because He spoke it first and all you are doing is confirming that you agree with what He has spoken by speaking it to.     You are lining yourself up in agreement with God and His word.   Remember … there is power in agreement.

Jeremiah 1:12
King James Version (KJV)
Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

So take time today to meditate on these scriptures.   Knowing and understanding that God hears you when you pray His word.   Know and understand that He will confirm His word with signs following His word being spoken.    Know that He will hasten to perform His word.   The word hasten means to be quick to do.

PRAYER TALK - August 5, 2013 (Praying Effectively)

PRAYER TALK

After a comment from one of our Daily Moments With God family members on the Facebook page and just looking at what God has been doing with our Daily Moments With God family, I wanted to start to talk a little bit more about prayer.    I want us to be a strong unified force for God in the earth.   I want people to be able to come to our family of believers and receive prayer that produces results because we pray God’s word and we believe God’s word.    Amen.

So today let’s lay a foundation for prayer.    Let’s start our foundation with the fact that the Bible says that men are to always pray.   Take a look at Luke 18:1 and Jeremiah 33:3.

Luke 18:1
King James Version (KJV)
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Jeremiah 33:3
King James Version (KJV)
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

These scriptures show us that God wants us to pray without ceasing.   When a person faints, they quit and give up.   God doesn’t want us to quit in prayer and He doesn’t want us to give up.    We also need to understand and settle in our mind that God said if we call on Him … He will answer.

Take time today to meditate on those two things.   Settle it in your heart and mind that God said we are to always pray and know without a shadow of a doubt that if we call … He will answer.    Also understand that prayer is not a chore.   It is an awesome opportunity to enjoy fellowshipping with God.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 4, 2013 (Understanding and Praying With The Power and Authority That God Has Given Us)

Before we can pray effectively, we have to understand the authority that we have been given.    If you look back at Genesis 1:26-28 ... you will see three facts about man established.    The first one being that God gave man dominion.   The second one is that God created man in His image.  The third one being that God blessed man.    Once you begin to understand who you are and the power that God placed within you and ordained you to use, you can then start to pray with authority and effectiveness.

Father help us to see.   Help us to see that you created us in your image.   That you formed us after your likeness.   That you gave us power and authority to be your representatives in the earth.   Father help us to begin to walk out our lives the way you created  us to be.  Where we can pray and where we can speak and so shall it be.    Father it is our desire to walk fully and completely in your word and the power that you have given us.   Help us now Father in Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 3, 2013 (Asking God To Help Our Unbelief)

Are you praying and wondering if you will receive what you are asking God for.   If so ... you are not following the guidelines that God has given you on how to pray.   Mark 11:24 says that we are to believe "when" we pray.   Not after we pray or after it looks better.   It says "when".     (Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.)

Father thank you for your word.   Thank  you for your power.  Thank you for giving us your guidelines in prayer.   Father help us to hear you and to believe you.  Help our unbelief Father.  Help us to know that you are God not just at the end of a thing but in the beginning and all in between.   Father move in us and move for us.   Our trust ... our faith ... and our belief are all in you.   In Jesus name we do pray.  Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 2, 2013 (Asking God To Help Us To Form The Habit Of Release ... Where We Release All Things ... The Good and The Bad ... To Him"

We spend so much time trying to figure out what is going wrong that we don't do what is right.   Instead of trying to rationalize in our minds the problems that we are going through ... we need to begin to pray about them and give them over completely and totally to God.   I know ... it is easier said than done.  But you have to get to a place where your form the habit of release.   Releasing it all to Father.   If you form the habit, it will become an automatic part of your nature to do it.

Father help us today to form the habit of release.   Releasing every worry and every doubt to you.   Releasing the images that come up in our minds that go against what you have said in your word.   Releasing the people that hurt us.   Releasing the situations that we just don't understand.   Father help us to move into a place of complete and total trust in you and your word so that we can freely release all things in our lives ... the good and the bad ... to you.   In Jesus name we do pray.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - August 1, 2013 (Asking God To Pick Up The Brokenness In Our Lives and To Restore Us)

Sometimes it gets hard.   People see you from the outside and they have no idea of everything that you are really going through.   You look complete on the outside ... but you are broken on the inside.    It's at that time, you just have to cry out to God.   Cry out in your brokenness and just ask God to restore you.   Amen.

Father thank you.  Thank you for your word.   Thank you for your love.   Thank you for your protection.  Thank you for picking up the pieces of our lives.  Father we need you.  We need your power.   We  need your presence.  We need your love.  We need you to restore us Lord.   To bring us to a place where we are no longer broken.  But we are vessels ready to be used by you.   Restore us Lord.   Use us Lord.   Bless us Lord.   Our hope, our trust, our belief are all in you.   Do what only you can do in our lives.   In Jesus name.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY - April 10th, 2024 (Asking God To Make His Move Now and To Show Our Enemies That They Are NOT In Control)

Father, we know that You see and know all things.   We know that You know what we are going through at every given moment of our lives.   So...
