Prayer For Today - October 31, 2011

Father .... peoople are hurting.   People are sick.   People are dying.   Father I ask for your help today.   That you help us see what we need to be doing.   What we can do for those around us.   What we can do to fulfill your will in the earth.   Father I ask that you give us a word in due season for someone else today.   That your words be our words.   That your will be our will.    Help us Father to see you.   To see you in every situation.   To hear you in every situation.   So that we can know what to do and what to say.   Father help us to express you in every situation.   So that your love can be seen in us and flow through us.   

Father I lift those that are hurting today and ask that you take away their pain.   I lift up those who lost loved ones today and I ask that you be their source of comfort.    I lift up those who have needs today and ask that you be Jehovah Jireh .... their provider.    Father I lift up those who just don't know what to do and ask that you be their peace.    Father be who you are.   Do what only you can do.   Bless like only you can.  

Father I trust you to just be you today.   For in you we have all that we need.

Prayer For Today - "Keeping It Real"

Father I just thank you for this day.   I thank you for your goodness....your grace....your mercy.   I thank you for your lovingkindness towards us.   I thank you that you loved us so much that you sent your Son to die on the cross for us.   Father I pray that today will be a new day in our lives where we do all we can for you.   Where we keep it real for you.    When we keep it real Lord, we walk in the reality of who you are.   For there is no falseness in you.   There is no pretense in  you.    You are who you said you are.    Let us be who you said we are.   You are Alpha and Omega....the beginning and the end.   You are the first and the last.....the one the only true God.   Let us be your divine creation.  I pray that we speak and walk the way you created us to speak and walk today.   I pray that we be a reflection of who you are today.   I pray that our words will be seasoned with salt and enhance and uplift whomever we come in contact with today.  

Father I pray that we no longer live our lives as if we are in a show.   Trying to entrain and please other people.   I pray that the only approval and recognition that we seek will come from you.    Father help us today to keep it real in you.   To live our lives in the reality of who you are.  To be a reflection of who you are in the earth.   To be pleasing in your sight.   

Let our lips and our lives line up with who you are....

Prayer For Today - October 29, 2011

Father...today is a new day.   A day where we can look around us and see your goodness....your grace.....your love.....and your mercy.   A day that is filled with you.    A day where you can again show us who you are and what you desire to do in us and through us.   

Father I ask that you go before us today.   Go before us in our thoughts.   Go before us in our hearts.   Go before us in our walk.    I pray that you guide us today and that we recognize your guidance.   I pray for your healing to flow today.    Heal us mentally and physically.   From the inside out.   Let your power flow to us and through us.   Through us to the point that your love, your joy, your peace, and your strength touches not only our lives but the lives of people all around us.  

Lord I pray that our eyes are open to see you.   That our ears are open to hear you.   That our hearts are open to receive you.   

Let who you are....be in us.   Let your love overwhelm us today.   Let us know that there is no place that you are not.   For you said in your word that you would never leave us nor forsake us.   So let our total trust be in you today.....knowing that you are with us wherever we go.

Prayer For You Today.....

Lord, I lift up your people today.   I ask that you move and manifest in their lives today.   That your word and your works be seen in and through them.   That your power and your praise be seen upon them.   Use them Lord to do your will in the earth.    Position them Father to know your plan.   I pray your best over them.  I pray your power over them.   I pray your provision over them.   Be God today.   Be who you are to your people.

PRAYER FOCUS - Insight

Insight is the capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of a person or thing.    We need to begin to get an accurate understanding of God.   Of His purpose, of His plan, and of what He wants us to do?

PRAYER FOCUS - Direction (Asking God To Be Your Guide)

Where is it God is taking you?   What is it that God wants you to do?   Do you know?   How do you find out?   So many times in life we move and operate  based on what we think.   We don't have clear direction or perception about anything that is going on around us.    God wants us to be clear.   Clear about where we are going and what we are doing.    Ask God for direction today.....

PRAYER FOCUS - Trust

God wants us to trust Him.   He wants our lives to line up with Him.   It is hard to trust someone you don't know.   You have to become acquainted with Him.   To get to know Him like never before.  

Let's pray that people all over the world will begin to put their trust in God.   That they allow Him to be number one in their lives.

PRAYER FOCUS - The Spirit of Pride

God does not want us to be prideful.   He does not want us to be ashamed of who He is and what He has done.   So many times God will bless a person or deliver a person and the person never thanks God for what He has done.    We have to begin to pray against the spirit of pride.   The spirit that keeps people from His goodness, His grace, and His mercy.   The spirit that causes people to be ungrateful for the things that God has done and is doing.

PRAYER FOCUS - Children

God loves us so much that He has entrusted us with one of most prize possessions.   His children.    We have the awesome opportunity to pour the heart of God into God's children.    Let's pray today for children throughout the earth.    That they see God.   That they hear God.   That they know God.    If we can pour the heart of God into the children....they can reciprocate the plan of God on the earth.

PRAYER FOCUS - Purpose

We need to begin to pray for purpose.   For purpose in our lives and in the lives of those around us.   If you don't know the purpose of a thing you abuse it or you misuse it.   God wants understand to understand our purpose and the purpose for the people, places, and things He has placed in our lives.   

When we understand our purpose, we can then be more effective in the earth.

PRAYER FOCUS - God's Protection

Sometimes we go through our day to day activities not realizing the importance of God's protection.   How we need Him to protect us in our homes, in our cars, on our jobs, etc.   We get into a routine and become complacent.    Let's pray today for God's divine protection.    For Him to protect us no matter where we are.   For Him to intervene when danger tries to come against us.    For Him to cover us under the shadow of His wing.

PRAYER FOCUS - People Who Hurt You

People are hurting.   People need help and you have within in you a well of living water.    Sometimes in life, people don't know how to handle pressure so they go against those that they really love.   Or they try to make others hurt like they hurt.  

The questions is .... will you be like them?   Or will you at least pour the "water of  prayer" out on them.     Take a moment to pour out God's heart and God's love for God's people today.  Specifically those people that have caused you pain in your life.

PRAYER FOCUS - To Stay Focused

How often do we get distracted?  How often do we get moved off what God is telling us to do?    We have to get to a place of stability in Him.    A place where nothing can cause our head to turn.    The place where the only shifting we do is in the realm of the spirit in order to address the needs of people all around us.

PRAYER FOCUS - Our Words

Do you know why you are here?   Do you speak what God is telling you to speak?   Do you understand the creative power that is in your words?    Let's pray today that our words become the words that God wants us to speak.   That the things we say be the things that will create life in the world around us.    That we begin to frame our world into what God desire for our lives to be.

PRAYER FOCUS - Homeless .... Life Sometimes Knocks A Person Down....Can You At Least Pick Them Up In Prayer?

Sometimes we take for granted the things we have.   There are so many people that don't have food.   That don't have shelter.   That don't know which way to go and which way to turn.   I have been there.   Not having enough to do what needs to be done.   Not having a place to go.    Not having enough to pay the bills.   Let's pray for people who are in need of shelter today.  We have to understand that people don't just become homeless.    Life sometimes knocks a person down.   Can you at least pick them up in prayer?

Prayer Focus - Wisdom

The Bible says that wisdeom is the principal thing.   When something is principal .... it means it is first in importance.    It says that we are to get wisdom and with our wisdom to get an  understanding.   Let's pray today for God's wisdom in everything that we do and everything that we say today.   Knowing God's heart about every "matter" of life is of upmost importance.

The Bible says that the people perish for a lack of knowledge.    We need to get a greater understanding of God.   Of who He is and what His desire is for our lives.   How can you understand what you do not know.    Understanding is birthed otu of relationship.   Let's pray that people throughout the world will commit to a monogomous relationship with God.    A one on one encounter.

PRAYER FOCUS - Prayer of Thanksgiving

How often do we go though the day and never thank God for what He has done?   For how He watches over us.   For how He heals us.   For how He delivers us.   

Let's make today a day of thanksgiving.   We have to understand that prayer is communion with God.   We need to begin to be thankful during our time of communion.    Not just a people that ask for things....but a people that are thankful for what He has done.     Let your prayer and praise be to Him today....

PRAYER FOCUS - Pray For People Outside Of Your House

So often we pray for our four and no more....It's time to step outside of our home and pray for others.   Pray for your neighbors, for your friends, for your co-workers, and people in other cities, towns, and countries.   Go outside of the norm today and pray for people you don't know.    They may not have anyone else to pray for them.

• D & T - husband and wife. He has been diagnosed with acute leukemia and she was diagnosed with colon cancer. At this point neither one is able to support the other. So we as the body of Christ need to come together and support them.    To lift them up and to pray God's power flow through each of their bodies.    
• GS - 33 year old male just had a stroke and is paralyzed on one side. Unable to speak and his family lives in another state.
• OH - had to have foot amputated from complications with diabetes.
• MMB - woman in early 40's.  Blood clots that started in foot.   Went into lungs and passed through heart.   Doctors said that medication will keep other clots from forming but is slow acting or not affecting clots that are there.    Let's pray God's power flow throughout her body and every complication and foreign thing in her blood be removed.

PRAYER FOCUS - Church Services

Let's pray today for a move of God throughout the earth.   For the Word to come forth today with faith and with power.   For lives to become infected with the power and presence of God.    That the Word of God be as a virus ..... consuming everyone that it comes in contact with.     That people surrender and lives be changed.     That the voice and the sound that is being heard....be the sound of God.   The voice of God.   That God be a consming fire throughout the earth today.

PRAYER FOCUS - Obedience

God is seeking obedience.   He wants us to obey what He tells us to do all the time.   Not just when it is convenient.    Let's pray for obedience today.   Obedience to His word, His will, and His way.

David...
His wife died in car crash a few months ago. They had a little girl that he is raising. He is having a difficult time dealing with his wife's death. Let's pray for comfort and that every need in his life and the life of their child be supplied.

Today's prayer focus is people....God's people.  
We need to come together and pray for the people of God.    We are called to intercede.   To stand in the gap for people all around us.    Let's do what God has called us to do today.....

One has to have surgery and the other has to be transported somewhere else to be treated. Please undergird them with prayer.

PRAYER FOCUS - "Strong Yet Humble Godly Men"

What is the heart of God concerning men?    God wants them to be strong in Him....yet humble enough to seek Him.    So often men feel as though they have to know it all and do it all.   But God desires is that their hearts stay turned towards Him so that He can give them direction.   So that He can be their strength.   So that He can be their resource when it comes to leading their homes and their families.    So let's pray strength and humility over the men.

PRAYER FOCUS - Trust, Belief, & Waiting

God is saying t hat He needs a people that will trust Him, believe Him, and wait on Him.   Will we be that people.   Will we be the ones that will wait and trust that God already has a plan established.    When something is established, it is already in motion.   Will we be the ones who believe what He has said and trust Him to do it.

We need to pray for one another today .... that we become stable in those three things.   Our trust....our belief....and our waiting.

PRAYER FOCUS - Sensitivity In The Spirit

We all want God to move.   We want to experience who His is and what He has for us.   We say we want change, yet we are not willing to change.    God is ready to move in our lives like never before....but we have to be ready for Him.     Pray for yourself and those around you to become more sensitive to the voice of God.   To the work of God.   To the heart of God.

There are many people today that are living lives that go against God's will, His purpose, and His plan.   Their lives and their lifestyles go totally agianst the will and word of God.   Let's pray today for their deliverance.   That God sends someone across their path to minister life to them.    To give them a word in due season.

PRAYER REQUEST - Healing For Michelle

Prayer Request For Michelle.....

Michelle is in the hosptial with blood clots in her leg as well as her lungs.   Let's pray that the clots dissipate (disappear) ..... not just dissolve.   Dissolving can take a while but when something dissipates, it is immediate.    

PRAYER.......
Father I thank you that your word is true.   You are not a man that you should lie.   You have said in your word that Christ took stripes on His back so that we could be healed.   I thank you that your word is set and can not be changed.    We claim the healing of the cross for Michele today.   We claim complete and total healing.   We command everything that is unlike you that is operating in her body to be gone now in Jesus' name.    We command every clot in her blood to dissipate and be gone.   We thank you for the free flow of your blood through her body.   Do it now Lord.   Seal her testimony.   Make sure her path.   For you are God.   

We ask these things in Jesus' name.   Amen.  

PRAYER FOCUS - Peace In The Lives Of God's People

There are so many people that are not at peace.   Not at peace in their situations, in there relationships, in their lives.    God wants us to be at peace.  To walk in the peace of knowing Him.    Trust God today.  Let's pray today that people get to know Him and that they walk in the perfect peace that comes from having a relationship with Him.

PRAYER FOCUS - "Poor & Those In Need"

There are people who live out on the road and don't have homes, clothes, food, or drink.   God has called us to help.   We need to pray that God send forth help to them.   That the poor of the earth will come up under His plan of rescue.
